The textile machine (1) has an interface, which is connected with a section control system and is firmly installed at each section. The interface enables a detachable connection of a cable assembly, with which measuring heads (8) are connected. The measuring heads are provided for measuring a quality indicating value of the thread, for example, the length-specific mass of the thread. The measuring values generated by the measuring head or values derived from the cable assembly are transferred to the relevant section control system.
