The catheter (1) has a catheter body that is arranged between sections, where the sections are arranged in a successive manner. A hollow space is formed with an opening to penetrate a catheter wall. Another hollow space is equipped for bringing an element for the length variation of one of the sections. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a catheter system, which has a catheter carrier; and (2) a stent that is provided with a ring shape section.
