The switch has a core coil (1) with a core (2) and a transmitting coil (3), where a magnetic total flow is produced by current feed of the transmission coil. Magnetic partial flows (4, 5) of the total magnetic flow are passed through partial surfaces (7-9) of the core. The partial flow (4) is existent outside the core coil, and is influenced by an influencing object. The partial flow (5) is existent inside the core coil and is not influenced from outside the core coil. Two sensor coils are provided for determining portions of the partial flows using induced voltages.
