The device has warp thread guiding tubes (5), through which warp threads are supplied as warp thread flocks to a cord position over a complete cord breadth. The tubes are attached to an elastic support i.e. flexible spring sheet steel (4), with an adjustable bending stiffness in a cord slot motion direction over the complete cord breadth of a knitting machine in a fixed and equally spaced manner. The warp thread guiding tubes are moved transverse to the cord slot motion direction. The flexible spring sheet steel is fastened at reinforcement elements (6), which receive tractive forces. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a device for supplying warp thread to a knitting machine or knitter.
