The roof covering has a light-reflecting coating in the form of retroreflecting glass balls which may be embedded in white granulate. The coating may be formed by the application of the retroreflecting glass balls after spreading with granulate. An adhesive may be sprayed on after applying the granulate, and the retroreflecting glass balls may be pressed down onto the roof covering by using deflection rollers (8).
