The monitor has interfaces for an Ethernetand a safety-at work-network respectively, where the monitor exchanges current status data of the network of the monitor with another safety monitor over the Ethernetinterface. The former monitor processes current status data of the latter monitor into a local program. The former monitor uses a safety oriented actuator as a switching element, which is defined for the safety-at-work network for controlling over an actuator sensor interface.
