The carrier has a set of magnetizable sections (14, 16) alternating in a measuring direction (22), and a set of carrier elements (10, 12), on which the magnetizable sections of same magnetization are spaced from each other. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for producing a magnetic measuring rod carrier (2) a device for measuring distances and/or rotation angles with a measuring rod carrier.
