The device (1) has a thermal expansion element (56) carrying out a change of geometry on a compensation part (3) in a degree of freedom transverse to an axial direction (A), such that a relative movement of the compensation part is caused relative to another compensation part (2). The element is prevented to change the geometry of one of the compensation parts in remaining directions e.g. radial/tangential direction, transverse to the axial direction by a limiting wall (30). The parts convert the rotation movement into an axial compensation movement of the former part over its geometry change.
