The system (1) has a radio frequency identification (RFID) transponder (4) assigned to components (3) e.g. printed circuit board, for storage of component-specific data. RFID communication units (5, 5') are provided for selecting and processing the component-specific data. Communication interfaces (8, 9, 12, 14) e.g. Ethernetinterfaces, are assigned to the RFID communication units for displaying and/or processing the component-specific data and for transmitting the component-specific data to display elements (11, 16) e.g. LCD. An independent claim is also included for a method for testing a component carrier.
