The device (11) has an electromagnetic actuating device (13) comprising a magnetic component (19) with a pot-shaped magnetic flux housing (38) and a coil arrangement (24) accommodated sectionally in the housing. The housing includes a frame-like bracket element (39) that encloses the coil arrangement at opposite front sides (41). The bracket element has a holding section for fastening the magnetic component to a valve component (17). The bracket element is formed from a plate i.e. metal plate, which has curved sections. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a volume control valve device.
