The insert (1) has longitudinal edges (5) running in a circumferential direction of a pipe clamp, where the insert forms a strip which extends to an inner side of the pipe clamp in the circumferential direction and over a breadth of the pipe clamp. The longitudinal edges have a hook-shaped cross section and laterally enclose the pipe clamp for fastening the insert. The longitudinal edges of the insert have a reinforcement (7) which stabilizes the longitudinal edges against an unintentional expanding of the hook-shaped cross section.
