The arrangement (S) has H-bridge circuit with a half bridge formed of two switching elements (S1, S2) e.g. P and/or N-channel-MOSFET, and another half bridge formed of two capacitors (C1, C2) as a capacitive voltage divider. A component (L) e.g. coil, is arranged in bridge section, where electrical characteristic of the component is an inductance. The switching elements are controllable by a control electronic (A) in operating condition. A capacitive load (P) i.e. piezoelectric actuator, is to be coupled in the bridge section. The switching elements are selected from a group consisting of bipolar transistors such as pnp or npn transistor. An independent claim is also included for a method for supplying a capacitive load from a direct voltage source.
