The structure (1) i.e. helical-joint band (2), has a set of parallel rows (3.1-3.3) in a longitudinal direction of turns (4.11-4.1n, 4.21-4.2n, 4.31-44.3n) arranged one behind the other. The rows (3.1, 3.2) adjacent to each other are coupled with one another using plug-in elements (7.1-7.3). The individual turns are formed from deformable filaments or yarns (6.2, 6.3) made of a polymer material or a polymer composition selected from a two-phase-system containing two phases with different melting temperatures. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a helical structure i.e. helical-joint band, for a paper machine clothing.
