The machine (1) has a machine frame (5) for supporting rotatably drive milling shafts (6-9). A displaceable clamping device (10) is provided at the machine frame, and a clamping unit for clamping key blanks (4) is provided at head and/or at shaft narrow sides (16) of the clamping device. The clamping device has three axes standing orthogonal to each other in a controlled manner. The milling shafts are fixedly supported in the machine frame during processing of key shanks. An auxiliary processing unit is fixed at the machine frame. An independent claim is also included for a method for processing of shanks at key blank for cylinder locks.
