The component has a housing (1) comprising a supply opening (5) and a discharge opening (6) for circulation of a refrigerant, where carbon-di-oxide is utilized as the refrigerant. A locating hole (2) for an actuating body (3) of an actuating element (4) is provided in the housing. The supply opening is connected to the locating hole by a housing-sided channel (7). The actuating element is a regulating valve, expansion valve or proportional valve such as electronically regulated proportional valve. An independent claim is also included for an air conditioning system with a multi-evaporator cycle.
