The method involves assigning a fuel injector to a cylinder, and providing a rotation angle sensor for detecting a rotation angle of a crankshaft. Evaluable orders of rotational vibrations of the crankshaft are determined in such a manner that sum of pointers (Z, 1, 2) of torque contributions of the cylinder results to a null order with same amount of pointers. Non-evaluable orders of vibrations of rotational speed are filtered by a band pass filter, where angular ignition spacing of the cylinder is non-equidistant/unequal. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computer program for executing a method for compensation of injected fuel quantity of an internal combustion engine (2) a control device for an internal combustion engine.
