A textile sheet (41), consisting mainly of longitudinally oriented fibers (42), is such that brief, targeted application of energy over the whole sheet surface causes an increase in the degree of crystallization of the longitudinal fibers at the molecular level and/or embrittlement of the fibers, so that transverse tearing of the sheet is possible.
