The method involves producing two-dimensional electronic representation e.g. electronic or digital photo, of a simplified real vehicle model by a camera. The electronic representation is represented in a display device. The electronic representation is processed by manual actions of a designer. The processed electronic representation is projected on the real vehicle model in a correct position. The representation is supplemented by processing around virtual detail representations such as linear representations or vehicle component representations.
