The unit (1) has two pairs of transport rollers e.g. drive roller (21) and pressure roller (11), spaced in a transportation direction. A tangential extending through a contact region of one of the pairs of rollers is arranged under an angle to an appropriate tangential of another pair of transport rollers spaced in a transportation direction. Guide units extending in the direction are arranged on sides of the former rollers, where the guide units define a wavy guidance path. A housing cover is suspended around a pivotable axis such that it is pivoted away relative to another housing cover. An independent claim is also included for an arrangement comprising transport units.
