The device has a bell-shaped housing (4) that is to be mounted on a building wall. The housing has a tubular attachment piece (9) containing a connection pipe (5) at its interior. The connection pipe has an increased outer diameter at an end on a building side. The connection pipe is provided on the tubular attachment piece. An end of the connection pipe is mounted in the structure of a steel gas pipe (2) and another end is attached outside the structure of a plastic gas pipe (1). The steel pipe has a protective pipe that is laid in the wall.
