The burglary warning device is mounted between a panel (12) and a roller shutter belt in the free area of a roller shutter belt (1). The burglary warning device produces an alarm as soon as the roller shutter is moved upwards from outside. The burglary monitoring device has a sliding switch (2) which lies in the mounted condition by roller shutter belt in the area of the coiling behind the roller shutter belt as long as the roller shutter is not actuated manually.
