The device has a gripper system (2.2) arranged in a gripper channel (2.1), and attached to a sheet guiding cylinder i.e. storage drum. A reversing drum is downstream to the sheet guiding cylinder, and a channel bridge (2.3) overstretches the gripper channel in a circumferential direction of the sheet guiding cylinder. The device operates according to a three drum reversing principle, and the channel bridge is arranged between the gripper system and an elongated auger (2.4) and consists of a rubber rope. The gripper system comprises a gripper finger.
