The method involves permanently synchronizing a data base on a central interlocking block server (3) with a data base on clients (7), which controls and monitors an element of an exterior system. The data to be synchronized consist of command-transaction messages and monitoring-transaction messages. The command-transaction messages are inputted automatically by the server and/or by manual operation into the server. The monitoring-transaction messages characterize the condition of the clients actually determined by sensors at the exterior system of the clients.
