The method involves sending an electronic-mail (e-mail) (110) over Internet (12) to an account (102) in a distant server (10) i.e. network-attached storage, by a computer (11). A file list is sent back to the computer in accordance with a request instruction in the e-mail, where the file list is a list of files (101) in a database (100). Another e-mail (111) including a selection instruction and a file memory area of a desired file is sent to the distant server by the computer. The desired file is sent back from the database to the computer in an e-mail format by the distant server.
