The tool/tool holder (7) has a cylindrical shaft (8), where the tool/tool holder is fixable to a tool holding fixture (1) i.e. tool revolver, of a processing machine i.e. lathe. A cylindrical borehole (3) is formed in a contact surface (2) of the fixture. A spring element e.g. closed ring in the form of O-ring, is arranged between the shaft and an inner wall of the borehole. The spring element builds up spring force between the shaft and the borehole during insertion of the shaft into the borehole, so that stop elements are compressed in attachment between the tool/tool holder and the fixture.
