Exhaust-gas turbocharger for internal combustion engine of vehicle, has brake body connected with shaft in torque proof manner such that brake body lies in contact with housing while exceeding allowed maximum speed of shaft
The turbocharger has a turbine rotor (3) and a compressor rotor (7) connected with a shaft (5) in a torque proof manner. A brake body is connected with the shaft in a torque proof manner such that the brake body lies in contact with housing (1) while exceeding allowed maximum speed of the shaft. The brake body is connected with a brake element (23) such that the brake element is directly or indirectly connected with the shaft. The brake element is integrated into the turbine rotor, the compressor rotor or a bearing bush (19).
