Use of a composition (T) containing one or more silicon organic compounds (I); and optionally one or more surfactant active compounds having one or more perfluorinated units, for the production of fire-extinguishing foam, is claimed, where the percental mass ratio (Q) from the mass of the surfactant active compounds with at least a perfluorinated group and the sum of the mass of the surfactant active compounds and the mass of (I) is less than 5%. Use of a composition (T) containing one or more silicon organic compounds of formula (R 2-Si(R 1) 2-O-(Si(R 1)(R 2)-O) a1-(Si(R 1)((O-Si(R 1)(R 2)) a2-O-Si(R 1) 2(R 2)) b-(Si(R 1)(R 2)-O) a3-Si(R 1) 2R 2)) (I); and optionally one or more surfactant active compounds having one or more perfluorinated units, for the production of fire-extinguishing foam, is claimed, where the percental mass ratio (Q) from the mass of the surfactant active compounds with at least a perfluorinated group and the sum of the mass of the surfactant active compounds and the mass of (I) is less than 5%.
