The method involves controlling an electric motor (3) of a hybrid drive for damping oscillations of a drive train (1) such that an actual speed of the electric motor corresponds a reference variable dependent on an average wheel velocity or average wheel speed of an inner wheel and an outer wheel of the drive train. The reference variable is dependent on a respective transmission ratio between an output (6) and the electric motor. Oscillations of the drive train are dampened when an internal combustion engine (2) is uncoupled at the output.
