The cylinder (1) has a tangential feed point (9), a tangential delivery point (10) for sheets (5, 7), and a loading electrode (12) directed to the tangential feed point, which is pre-arranged to the cylinder, in sheet transport direction (11). An unloading electrode (13) is directed to the sheet (7) that is discharged from the cylinder. The cylinder contains a base (2) on which an electrically insulated cylinder barrel is located, where the cylinder barrel is formed of cylinder jackets (3, 4). An online-densitometer (16) is arranged at the cylinder. An independent claim is also included for a method for transporting a sheet into a processing machine.
