Injector for injecting fuel into combustion chamber of internal combustion engine, comprises injector head and supply chamber for fuel staying below high pressure, where discharge chamber is provided for fuel staying below low pressure
The injector comprises an injector head (1) and a supply chamber for fuel staying below high pressure. A discharge chamber (4) is provided for fuel staying below low pressure or no pressure. A control valve arrangement (13) has a valve body (14) at which a quench area is arranged within the discharge chamber. The quench area extends transverse to a closing direction of the valve body. The quench area forms a hydraulic quench slit (24) which is closed during the closing movement.
