The self-decontaminating protective clothing (1) with/without integrated respirator mask (2), comprises layers of filter material for the protection against effects of harmful materials such as typical chemical agents or pathogens such as viruses, bacteria or spores. An enzyme for splitting of phosphoric acid esters is immobilized on clothing and mask layers. The water is necessary for the activation of the enzyme reaction using the humidity from sweat and bodily exhalations, which are added via hygroscopic substances such as silica gel or inclusion of water-containing micro caps. The self-decontaminating protective clothing (1) with/without integrated respirator mask (2), comprises layers of filter material for the protection against effects of harmful materials such as typical chemical agents or pathogens such as viruses, bacteria or spores. An enzyme for splitting of phosphoric acid esters is immobilized on clothing and mask layers.
