The system (16) has a vent duct (20) that is in connection with a chamber (12) of a fluid-lubricated and/or cooled component, where the chamber contains fluid i.e. oil (14). A gas-permeable labyrinth structure (22) is located in the vent duct and prevents passage of fluid droplets occurring in the vent duct. The vent duct is divided in cross section into two channel sections (32, 34) by the labyrinth structure, where the labyrinth structure exhibits a screw-shaped design. The labyrinth structure has material strips extending in an axial direction of the vent duct.
