The sensor has optical transmitting elements and a receiving element (E), which are arranged on a circuit carrier (3). A light guiding body (7) is provided for transmitting light between the optical transmitting and receiving elements. A code disk (6) exhibits binary coding markings in multiple concentric code-tracks. The transmitting and receiving elements are sequentially clocked.
