The bicycle has a seat (1) movably supported on rolls that move to and fro in a driving direction, and a flexible steel cable (3) fastened to a rudder rod (2). An end of the steel cable is connected with an axle of a front chain ring (4) such that the steel cable is rolled up during the movement of the rudder rod in the driving direction. Force is transferred over the front chain ring and a chain (5) to a rear wheel when the rudder rod is retracted. Foot pedals (6) or turning handles (7) or different movements of the rudder rod are controlled.
