The internal combustion engine comprises a lubricating pump. Multiple lubricant channels (31) are provided, which are connected through a common bearing bore (2) to discharge lubricant (33) that is collected in the lubricant channels. A moving or pull-out closure element (1) is arranged in the bearing bore. The lubricant channels are separated from each other in a closing position. The lubricant channels are released for connecting all lubricant channels in a displacement position or in a lubricant pull-out condition. An independent claim is included for a method for discharging a lubricant from an internal combustion engine.
