The container has longitudinal walls and transverse walls (3) vertically projecting from a base part. A vertical reinforcing section (8) i.e. flat steel strip, is provided in the longitudinal and transverse walls. A channel (10) formed in the longitudinal and transverse walls is complementarily used in the reinforcing section and secured against bending in a direction parallel to a wall plane. The channel is laterally bordered by a rib structure (11) integrated in the walls. The section is secured against falling out after insertion into the channel by welding a plastic plate (13).
