The plate (1) has an end section (11) including a pre-running deflection blade (11a) extending from a printing section (10) in a pre-running deflection angle. A pre-running clamping blade (11c) is attached to the end section over a plate edge (11b). An end section (12) includes a post-running deflection blade (12a) extending from the printing section in a post-running deflection angle. A post-running clamping blade (12c) is attached to the end section (12) over a plate edge (12b). The blades (11c, 12c) extend into other pre- and post-running deflection angles relative to the printing section. An independent claim is also included for a method for reducing of plate edge printing of a printing plate of a plate cylinder of a rotary printing machine.
