Device for tempering free foams during the formation process, comprises a temperable upper section, whose upper and lower faces are open, a lower section, and an intermediate layer fastened between upper and lower section
The tempering device comprises a temperable upper section (1) whose upper and lower faces are open, a lower section (2), and an intermediate layer (4) fastened between upper and lower section, where the upper section is detachably joined with the lower part. The intermediate layer: downwardly forms an inner chamber (6), which is sealed at the sides and in which a free foam (7) is expanded under given thermal conditions; consists of a flexible material; and forms a membrane, which serves as contamination protection for the lower part. The interior of the upper section is conical. The tempering device comprises a temperable upper section (1) whose upper and lower faces are open, a lower section (2), and an intermediate layer (4) fastened between upper and lower section, where the upper section is detachably joined with the lower part. The intermediate layer: downwardly forms an inner chamber (6), which is sealed at the sides and in which a free foam (7) is expanded under given thermal conditions; consists of a flexible material; and forms a membrane, which serves as contamination protection for the lower part. The interior of the upper section is conical. The upper section is covered with thermal insulation. The temperature of the upper section is adjusted with a tempering liquid, which flows through the upper section. The tempering of the upper section takes place electrically by electrical heating wires, heating elements or cooling sections, which are attached in or at the upper section. Temperature measuring points are indicated in or at the device. The temperature of the device is electrically regulated. The base of the inner chamber is temperably designed. The upper section is designed so that the ascent behavior of the free foam, which expands in the inner chamber, is meteorologically recorded. An independent claim is included for a method for tempering free foams during the formation process.
