The cylinder piston unit has pistons movable within cylinders (26, 28) between end positions, and a sleeve (72) aligned with inner surfaces (122) of the cylinders at inner sides, where the sleeve is pressure-tightly arranged in an opening (100) of a cylinder wall (102). The sleeve has a cavity, which is accessible from outside and retains measuring sensor (120) that responds to the pistons. The opening forms an inner contour (106), and the sleeve has an outer contour section (104), which is sealingly fitted with the inner contour. The sleeve is made of non-magnetizable, transparent material.
