The device has a head (2) movably fixed to a shaft by a support tube (7), and a rotatable tool plate (3) supported at the head. A drive unit drives the tool plate, where a bendable spindle (5) couples the tool plate to the drive unit. The shaft turns at a distance from the head, which is supported by the support tube that is fixed to the shaft. The support tube transfers shearing and traction forces that are exerted during working of a user on the shaft to the head, where a suction tube surrounds the support tube. The shaft has two shaft sections that are connected by a hinge.
