The distributor (1) has a set of input contact pairs (2) i.e. metallic perforated tape, connected with a set of output contact pairs by a mechanical switching mechanism that is driven by a motor (5). The input contact pairs are arranged in a ring structure and extend in a longitudinal direction (L) for forming a cylindrical structure. Annular elements (4) are arranged on top of each other within the cylindrical structure. The elements attached to respective output contact pairs are driven by the motor to connect the output contact pairs with the input contact pairs in a selective manner.
