The utensil has a food transport container (12) comprising isolated walls and a closeable inner space that is utilized for accommodating a gastronorm container (16). A retractable function element e.g. ventilator unit (38), is provided in the inner space of the transport container, and is operable electrically or by gas. The transport container has passage openings (44, 46) at outer wall for sucking and blowing off air. An extraction and filter unit is arranged as the function element between the openings.
