The hand-machine tool (10a) has a lighting device (30a) i.e. LED, for lighting a working area (31) of a tool (15) e.g. milling tool, that is driven by an electric motor (11a) with a working frequency. A lighting control device (34a) is provided for controlling the lighting device for production of lighting flashes succeeding with a flash frequency. An operating switch is operatable by an operator for adjusting of the flash frequency and/or phase ratios between the flash frequency and the working frequency. A transparent protection device (36) is provided for shielding of the work area.
