The system provides protection to a storage container system (A) by cooling outer surfaces e.g. side walls and roof, in connection with limitation of interior temperature in the storage container system. Fire spread to neighboring, homogeneous objects or building area is controlled. The outer surfaces are evenly subjected with cooling and/or fire extinguishing agents (1) i.e. water, of predetermined quantities by a specific flow system (2) parallel to fire-protection sealing.
