The compressor (13) has a fiber guiding channel tapering in a transportation direction (14) and supported on an output lower roller (10) of a stretching unit and arranged at an axis (17) of a pressure roller (15). A plastic buffer element (16) is provided for supporting the compressor at the axis of the pressure roller. The buffer element is designed as an exchange element that is attachable to the compressor. A locking connection is provided between the buffer element and the compressor. A side piece of the buffer element has a button-like projection that engages a recess in the compressor.
