The lockcylinder has a rotatable cylinder core comprising chambers for plate-shaped tumblers (30, 30'). The cylinder core is held in a cylinder housing. Each of the plate-shaped tumblers of a pair of tumblers (31) withdraws from the cylinder core in one of two withdrawal directions. The directions of the plate-shaped tumblers face each other. The plate-shaped tumblers are spring-loaded in such a manner that no torque affects due to a spring (21). The plate-shaped tumblers are provided identical to each other.
