The method involves supporting a molding box (5) by a lower part (2). A seal is produced in an extended position between a stretching aide (15) and a hole (19) in a press pad (14). Air is supplied to a mold space and compressed air is supplied to a rear space (31) after closing the molding tool and after downward movement of the stretching aide. Subsequently, both the spaces are connected during return of the stretching aide by a connection device, where the backward movement of the press pad is enabled in the spaces.
