The dryer (2) has a fixing device (20) e.g. hook, stamp, bar or bolt, arranged in a rotatable receiver (3), where a mop cover (4) or a partial loosely hanging mop cover is inserted into the receiver. The fixing device holds the loose mop cover or loose parts of the mop cover in a position against the centrifugal force during a centrifuge process. The receiver is provided with a basket and/or a filter (18). The fixing device inwardly protrudes via openings of the basket and/or the filter.
