The motor has a fixed motor component with a base plate (36) and a bearing sleeve (10), and a movable motor component with a shaft (12) and a hub (26). The components are rotatably mounted relative to each other around a common rotation axis (16), and are separated by a storage gap (14) filled with a storage fluid. The storage gap includes a closed end and an open end. A recirculation channel (32) connects the closed end with the open end, where an end of the channel radially opens out outside of an axial bearing (28) in a transition region between the storage gap and a sealing gap (38). An independent claim is also included for a hard disk drive comprising a read/write device.
