The bolt (1) has a groove-shaped recess (3) in a longitudinal direction of the bolt in a connecting area. An area of the bolt turned to the recess is designed as a cylinder area (4), and an insertion area (21) attached to the recess is designed as an eccentric area (5) with respect to an axis of the cylinder area with larger upward gradient. The cylinder area extends above approximately 180 degree of the circumference, and the recess extends above approximately 100 degree of the circumference. The eccentric area extends above approximately 80 degree of the circumference of the bolt. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an arm rest fastening device with an fastening structure (2) a method for joining an arm rest fastening bolt with an arm rest fastening device.
